Need to get a good ride in first thing on Saturday? Here’s a ride for you & now there’s a second option available. The regular Saturday ride runs every Saturday all year, weather permitting.
Dan Butler of Keep It Tight leads this 50-60 mile ride Saturday mornings. This is a moderate to fast ride.
Running late or interested in turning around early? Unless it’s a special edition of the Saturday ride, it’s always the same route. Print the route notes or download to your Garmin/other cycling computer.
Note that there is an endurance-pace option being offered separately & run by RSC Club members leaving at the same time; it’s just a more moderate, base-building pace (~16mph average for the ~50 miles).
The Studio opens at 8am on weekends. The Cafe will be up and running in time for a leisurely coffee, pastry or some coconut water before departure.
Rides roll out at 8:00 am sharp from Ride Studio Café in Lexington.
8:01 and you’re on the chase.

What to bring:
- Your helmet, riding shoes, and I.D. Riders seem to forget these items more often than you might think.
- Appropriate clothes for changing temperatures. The difference between 8 am and 11 am can be 10-15 degrees. Be prepared.
- Tool kit including at least one appropriate tube. You’ll be on your own if you have a mechanical so you’ll want to bring an entire tool kit.
- PLEASE BE KIND, if the roads are wet put on a back fender that covers enough of your rear wheel so that no one has to eat liquified road grit!
Don’t forget:
- Before the ride, if you need any mechanical help, or service of any kind, send us an email and we’ll gladly be at the Studio early to help with anything you need on the fly. Otherwise we can’t guarantee that we’ll always be open before 8 am but we’ll try.
- We have demo bikes available if you’d like to try one during the ride. Call ahead so we can have something ready.
Waiver: RSC requires a signed waiver from each rider prior to your first ride. We will have waivers at the Studio for you to complete and sign, and you can review a copy of our waiver here.
Parking: If you’re driving to participate in the ride, make sure that you do not park in the Lemon Grass restaurant parking lot; you will get towed. Fortunately, there is a ton of parking in the area–and it is really inexpensive.
By the way, here’s where you can find our comprehensive list of weekly rides.
We hope to see you there–or somewhere on the road. If you have questions, email or call (339) 970-0187.
