Sunday Morning 9am Rides – Year-Round

2 September: Updated Route

We believe in making our Coffee Ride a social affair, think Boston Pops in lycra. You may not love hearing the 1812 Overture, just as you may not love the dirt section taking you down Reformatory Trail, but the overall experience leaves you with a smile from ear to ear. We ask that you are engaged from start to finish, and for that, you are rewarded with the most enjoyable 43miles out to Brimstone one could ask for on a Sunday morning.

Please note: our system of creating groups has changed: when you arrive at the Studio (please arrive before 9am), there are color-coded cards. Choose one card that matches the pace you would like to ride. We collect the cards as you and your group rolls out. This way, we keep group sizes to a manageable size.

Green Cards: Pace is 18-19mph average – no faster. Riders wishing to go faster are more than welcome to leave prior to our groups rolling out.

Yellow CardsPace is 16-17mph average. Moderate. We typically have 2 moderate groups departing.

Red Cards: Pace is 15-16mph average, no drop. We have someone sweeping this group so no one gets dropped.

Safety is our top priority on our rides. Please read our riding rules, below. We will be talking with anyone who chooses to ignore these rules and not follow the rules of the road.

Bring in your GPS and we’ll load the route for you. We have a Garmin Touring, 510, 810, and 1000 which you may borrow for the ride. Email us in advance if you want to borrow one for the ride or demo it at any time.

The Sunday Coffee ride starts promptly at 9am.  Come 15 to 20 minutes before departure time so you can make any last minute adjustments and catch the latest news on the ride.  We don’t want to leave without you!

The route for every Sunday is here. (Click on map at the bottom of this page to go to RideWithGPS.com & download file/print cue sheet).

Riding Rules

All riders are required to read and are expected to abide by These Rules.

Waiver: RSC requires a signed waiver before your first ride. Please fill it out online prior to your first ride.

What to bring:

  • Your helmet, cycling shoes with cleats, and I.D. Riders seem to forget these items more often than you might think.

  • Appropriate clothes for changing temperatures.
  • Tool kit including at least one appropriate tube. You'll be on your own if you have a mechanical so you'll want to bring an entire tool kit.

  • PLEASE BE KIND, if the roads are wet put on a back fender that covers enough of your rear wheel so that no one has to eat road grit!

  • LIGHTS. If there's dim sunlight or if the ride begins or ends when the sun isn't shining. Think blinkies!

Don’t forget

  • Before the ride, if you need any mechanical help, or service of any kind, send us an email and we'll gladly be at the Studio to help with anything you need on the fly.

  • We have demo bikes available if you’d like to try one during the ride. Call ahead so we can have something ready.

If you're driving to participate in the ride, make sure that you do not park in the Lemon Grass restaurant parking lot; you will get towed. Fortunately, there is ample parking in the area--and it is really inexpensive.

By the way, here's where you can find our comprehensive list of weekly rides.

We hope to see you there--or somewhere on the road. If you have questions, email or call (339) 970-0187.
